Joel Litman

Joel Litman is president and co-owner of Texas Recycling, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Texas Recycling is a three-generation multi-commodity processor that handles paper, metal and plastic. The family-owned company celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022.  Joel has been in the recycling industry since 1984 after a career in public relations and journalism.  

Joel is a long-time active member of ISRI. He is a past president of the Paper Stock Industries (PSI) chapter of ISRI and has served in other key governance roles, including chair of ISRI’s Paper Division, a board member of ISRI’s Gulf Coast Chapter and a national Director at Large.  
He also is active in non-profit organizations in the Dallas community.  

Joel is a graduate of the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri. He and his wife, Susie, have two daughters, one of whom (Hillary) is in the business, two son-in-laws, and three grandchildren.
