Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, which was founded as a trading and supply-chain specialist of the Toyota Group. TAI has been operating in North America since 1961. Over the past four decades, we have evolved from a trader in a limited number of commodities and finished goods to a multi-business enterprise.

Today, TAI’s Metal Division offers a full service supply chain model including steel/aluminum/scrap processing facilities across North America. In the recycling industry specifically, TAI operates subsidiaries including Missouri Smelting Technology (MOST), Kentucky Smelting Technology (KST), Toyotsu Smelting Technology (TSTM), and Green Metals Inc. (GMI).
